Web Submission Forms FAQ
- The boxes provided seem too small for the text I have written, how can
I enter my text?
The boxes appear with fixed width, but they do scroll down. If
you cut-and-paste into the box the text will automatically fill
the space.
- Do I need Javascript "enabled" ?
Yes. Javascript provides the help windows and some
data validation. Javascript is normally enabled by default, so you
should not have to change your browser settings.
- What happens if I leave some fields blank by mistake?
Some rudimentary error checks are made for fields that are
required. When you attempt to submit the form a warning box will appear
if required fields are left blank.
- What happens if I enter text into the wrong field?
If you have NOT submitted the form - you have two options
(1) edit the text, or (2) scroll to the bottom
and click the reset button to (completely) reset the form.
- Sometimes I can't find the help window?
Once the help window is opened it remains on the screen
and subsequent help messages are shown in the window. The
help window is probably lurking behind your browser window.
- What happens if I find a made a mistake in my Web submission?
We strongly recommend that you write your proposal first in a plain text
editor and then cut-and-paste into the section windows. Review your text
before clicking the submit button.
- Who should I contact if I have problems with the Web submission?
If the problem is a procedural one then contact the Dr. John Stocke.
If the problem is with your browser, displaying or unintelligible
error messages then contact Dave Ratchford or John Daspit.
