A little more about me.
I'm originally from Homer, Alaska, where I lived until I was 12; I then moved to Wenatchee, Washington (beautiful apple country!), where I went
to high school. For some reason, I chose to attend [Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology] in Terre Haute, Indiana, for my undergraduate degree in Physics.
It turned out to be a great experience! That's where I met my husband, Kevin, who studied optical engineering. We were married in April, 2008. He
is now a graduate student in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Colorado, where he studies optics.
My hobbies include hiking, playing PC games, and knitting (when I'm not doing homework or research). I also enjoy yoga, Ultimate Frisbee, and Jazzercise.
If you're interested, feel free to visit my [Picasa] web album, with pictures of my wedding, honeymoon, etc.
I also have a blog, [A Scientist and a
Woman], and would love feedback if you get a chance to visit.
Or go to Youtube to watch the [hilarious video] that the first-year graduate students of 2008-'09 put together for the traditional holiday skit.
