About Me

I'm a sixth year grad student at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I teach, take classes, and do research on star formation, focusing on massive stars and ejected nebulae. I have done projects on Herbig-Haro objects and jets from low-mass young stars, post-AGBs in the LMC, and super star clusters in NGC 3627. My astronomy page has more details on my research.

I play ultimate, ski, climb mountains, and run in my free time. I have climbed 4 significant peaks out of the US: Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso in the Alps and Mts. Pisco and Huascaran in Peru. I climbed Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood, and Mt Adams in Washington. I generally ski in A-Basin, Breckenridge, Vail, and Beaver Creek (i.e. the 5 mountain pass resorts), but I hope to do more back country skiing now that I have an alpine touring setup.

Sometimes I make bread. My repertoire includes challahs and a number of "artisan breads" with varying success. I've made many bagels. A favorite recipe is chocolate chip cookie dough challah.

I have a few blogs (that are mostly clones of each other):
