THAILAND

In February 2003, Steph and I travelled to Thailand for a bit of vacation and climbing.  Some of the long awaited photos are below.  These are pretty low quality versions of the photos and high resolution versions are available on request.  Click on the photo to see a  bigger version.

Steph and I about to leave from snowy Boulder.
Snoozin at the airport in Bangkok.
 The docks at Krabi.
 On the way to Railai.
 The climbing at Railai...
...and the beach at Ton Sai.
 The agony of defeat.
 Typical afternoon snack.

     Various shots around the peninsula.

   Goin' to the tailor's!

The next series of shots is of a day trip we did to a temple (Wat) near Krabi.  The Wat is unique in the sense that part of it is on top of a very steep karst formation.  It has a small shrine on top which you need to climb 1272 very steep steps to reach.  Sounds easy enough, but at 90 degrees and 80% humidity its not trivial.  The views are quite spectacular though.
