I am an assistant professor of astrophysics at the University of Colorado.

My research involves galaxy evolution and cosmology. I have
published papers on OH megamasers, the galaxy-black hole connection,
gravitational lenses,
water and formaldehyde in galaxies, telescope site survey work,
hydrogen absorption, and the evolution (or not) of the fine structure
constant.
I spend my spare time
hiking with my
better half, Jennifer Yu,
playing with my
dog,
and Free-Heel Skiing.
I grew up in New Mexico, spent two years in Las Vegas New Mexico, four
years in Pasadena at Caltech studying physics, economics, and astronomy,
six years in Ithaca, New York, at Cornell, three years in Pasadena
at the Carnegie Observatories, and now I'm happily settled in the Rockies.
