The more time I spend in the Sierra Nevada, the more I begin to understand
John Muir's fascination with the "range of light," and the more impressed
I become with his achievements as a naturalist, preservationist, and
mountaineer.
Pictured here are the naturalist John Burroughs (left) and John Muir (right).

This is a photo of Muir with Teddy Roosevelt on Glacier Point above
Yosemite Valley (again, click on the photo for a larger image).
Incidentally, Glacier Point is a lovely place to ski to in the winter.
