Quasars are giant black holes that reside in the centers of galaxies. As matter falls in, huge amounts of energy are released, making them some of the most luminous objects in the universe.

With an x-ray interferometer we can take an up-close look at the super-heated matter swirling into the black hole. We should even be able to see the event horizon of the hole itself.

Warp 10, Scottie - - We're going extra-galactic.

Take the Trip!
