X-ray Interferometric Missions

We have identified two missions that taken in sequence appear to make programmatic sense. They are circled in red in the tolerance table below.  The pathfinder represents the sensible limit for a mission that can be done from a single spacecraft without deployable optics. The event horizon is the mission that can address the central scientific goal, to image a black hole.

The Pathfinder -- 100 micro-arcseconds

The Event Horizon -- One micro-arcsecond.
