Astro2020 and IR Astrophysics:
Planning for the Next Decade

The goal of this workshop will be to give the IR science and technology community an opportunity to synthesize the priorities and recommendations of the Astro2020 Decadal Survey, and to provide a forum for thoughtful discussion and deliberation about the future of our field in the next decade and beyond. We will use this platform to bring diverse voices into the room and begin planning for potential new missions. Sessions will include a mix of structured and unstructured time to allow participants to talk in small groups and collaborate.
Deadline to submit an abstract for a talk or poster: March 4, 2022
Final registration deadline: March 11, 2022
There is no fee for registration - The workshop will be free for all participants. You can submit a title and a short abstract for a talk and/or poster at the same time as you complete the registration form. Note that you will also be asked to upload a digital copy of your COVID vaccination record at the time of registration. We will be requiring all participants to be fully vaccinated (with a booster) and wear masks indoors to comply with the current COVID safety protocols in place on the University of Colorado Boulder campus.
For those who are unable to travel, virtual participation is also available through Zoom. This meeting will NOT be fully hybrid, but all talks will be streamed and recorded. Virtual participants can ask questions of speakers through the Zoom chat or workshop Slack.
